So these are a couple pieces I did, over a painted soft grid of light neutral tones in acrylic. This is the type of thing I was hoping to be exposed to in this workshop. I'd never think of starting with a grid of painted rectangles. On this second one, it feels a bit tight to me, but this is a great exercise. I think I need to try working like this in a few more pieces.
