This started as a simple female figure drawing in vine charcoal w/o any reference, and proceeded intuitively..Bit, about 27x36". I wasn't sure what she was doing, added background atmosphere... well I just let it unfold, one had forward, one raised...  she was pushing past something... what?  I started to obscure her so she was in a fog... I let myself go with it and the fog envelops her, taking on human aspects.. arms. Oh my... a male... but fog. So now possibly a scene of seduction? Her arms are raised, but the gesture is midway between accepting or fighting.

And I suddenly thought, "wait, I think I've seen this"... some Greek myth? what? then I remembered a vague image I'd seen decades ago in art history... and started googling Diana and Apollo? No... but "Jupiter and Io" shows up and I remember it, by Correggio. In the myth, Jupiter transforms himself into a cloud to seduce her unnoticed.  And I just drew it.
