"I've made a few more attempts to work upstairs in my studio, but this one is the only one that resulted in anything I like. I do like it. Here's what I wrote in my studio journal:"
I put on a Bartok string quartet and did this today. There are a few things I do want to fix, like her upper hand, but other than a couple small changes, I really like it! It feels mythological to me! Mythological yet with some human fleshy sensuality. I want to do more in this same general theme. It was really fun to do, also.
This was on my better quality heavy brown craft paper. I like working on it. So maybe I’ll continue working on it, and then maybe try my sanded paper."
Well, I didn't have the energy to follow up on this idea, but I'll remember it for the future, when hopefully I'll be back in a more productive mode.
