It’s been awhile since my last post. I’ve been working so hard and my shop is finished and online!
After 5 months of nightmarish, grueling house repairs, by August I was finally able to pick up with painting, and resumed my plans to photograph and print my work and to build an online shop. This part of the project feels surprisingly good to me because I’m able to make use of the various skills developed over a lifetime. Beyond creation of the artwork, the skills I developed in photography, Photoshop, web design and ecommerce are all coming into use, and it feels so great!
I’m offering prints of my work in 2 sizes, 8×12 and 12×18, plus 5×7 blank art cards that can also be framed. And they all fit standard size frames. Yay!
It’s been weeks of selecting pieces, photographing, color-correction of files and test printing, buying packaging and shipping supplies…then research, trials and decisions on ecommerce solutions, and then building the shop, organizing the products, reorganizing the products, learning about sales tax… (web work was never taxable!).
Here’s the ArtShop! judyfrisk.bigcartel.com and I just added it to this main menu.
And today I printed out all my work as 5×7 cards! So exciting, because they look so good, and actually look just like my digital files of the original work! So cute and colorful, all spread out together. Tomorrow, the 8×12 prints!
